Charities benefit from ‘Bachelorette’ competition

Kilkenny’s Aislinn Rice was crowned 2012 Bachelorette of the Year in a charity competition that took place in Langton’s on Thursday evening.

Kilkenny’s Aislinn Rice was crowned 2012 Bachelorette of the Year in a charity competition that took place in Langton’s on Thursday evening.

Eight contestants from around the county put their names forward for the event in aid of local causes.

Aislinn’s chosen charity, Enable Ireland at the O’Neill Centre, will benefit from her victory, and proceeds will also be given to Meals on Wheels and Alzheimer’s Kilkenny.

From the Johnswell Road in Kilkenny city, Aislinn has just completed a degree in social science at UCC.
