Plans to turn the former city-centre Eircom building into a licenced restaurant have been approved by Kilkenny Borough Council.

Left Bank owner Gerry Byrne has been granted planning permission by the council to turn the ground floor of the premises at The Parade into a restaurant with seating for 30 people indoors and a further 18 outdoors. Permission has also been granted for a new canopy to the front of the building.

The restaurant’s opening hours are permitted to be from 8am to 11.30pm daily, as a condition of the planning permission.
