Kilkenny to collect signatures in support and sympathy for murdered detective Adrian Donohue

MAYOR of Kilkenny Sean o hArgain is to collect signatures from members of the public from Monday offering their condolences to the Donoghue family in Dundalk on the death of Detective Garda Adrian Donohue.

The Garda was brutally murdered on Friday night as he attended to a local credit union in Louth with a colleague.

The Mayor and his fellow concillors will collect the signatures as support for the family and also for gardai.

The Labour councillor tweeted on Saturday - As Mayor I and fellow cllrs will be collecting signatures of condolence for the family of Det Garda Adrian Donohue at Town Hall from Monday - and remarked - I believe the murder of Det Garda Donohue to be a new low. Those who rob a community based credit union and kill a Garda are no patriots! - on twitter.
