Free help for people with Type 2 diabetes

A FREE education programme about managing Type 2 diabetes is being offered in Kilkenny starting on two dates.

A FREE education programme about managing Type 2 diabetes is being offered in Kilkenny starting on two dates.

The six-week programme will start on September 19 and again on October 14 in the HSE South Offices, Board Room, Lacken, Dublin Road, Kilkenny.

This X-PERT Programme delivered by HSE South community dietitians aims to inform people about their diabetes enabling them better look after themselves and their condition. Lifestyle issues such as excess body weight, alcohol, diet, smoking and lack of exercise are crucial to managing diabetes.

Previous participants have said of the programme: “This way of learning is very informative and enjoyable” and “For the first time in my life I feel like I am the one in control of my diabetes.”
