CBS claim a spider at web awards

CBS Secondary school Kilkenny won an award for the best web app at the Eircom Junior Spider Awards. The award was presented yesterday in the Helix in Dublin City University for their Quickrevise app.

CBS Secondary school Kilkenny won an award for the best web app at the Eircom Junior Spider Awards. The award was presented yesterday in the Helix in Dublin City University for their Quickrevise app.

The city school won the Tera Spiders (POST PRIMARY 4th – 6th year) category. Mr Tom Clarke principal of CBS Secondary School said “I am delighted that the students have won an Eircom Junior Spider Award. The students and teachers have put in a huge effort and it is very exciting to bring back the award for Best Web App. We are all very proud of them and their achievements.”

The Quickrevise app was created to help Junior Cert students quickly and easily revise different aspects of the Junior Cert Science Course. The interactive website was designed to help students in the run up to their mocks and ultimately their Junior Certificate exam. Speaking at the Awards ceremony, Carolan Lennon, Chief Commercial Officer, eircom and Chairperson of the Judging Panel said, “Congratulations to everyone who has won an award.
