Tally numbers for Kilkenny show a vote of 64% Yes and 36% No. The gap in Carlow’s vote is smaller, with tallies showing votes at 55% Yes and 45% No.
With the official count having started at 12.30pm, some 50% of the boxes have been opened at the count centre in the Lyrath Estate Hotel.

Ferrybank, however, is looking likely to favour the No side.
