A POLISH amateur photographer who cites two famous French photographers as his main influences will exhibit his work at the Kilford Arms Hotel from August 10-19.
Millan Knapik has been living in Kilkenny for the past six years. His biggest success so far was winning the first prize in the Kilkenny Tourism Photographic Competition in 2010. Most of his black and white images were greatly inspired by the last century works of French photographers, Robert Doisneau and Henri Cartier-Bresson. “I have tried to show the streets and architecture of Kilkenny in the similar way as these artists captured Paris over 60 years ago,” he said.
