Minister for the Environment, Phil Hogan, has allocated €150,000 for the Stoneyford By-pass Watermain Project.

This by-pass watermain of Stoneyford will boost the supply and pressure to the villages of Kells, Dunnamaggin and Kilmoganny and also facilitate the capacity to provide a new public water supply to the following housing estates – Chapel View, Stoneyford; Burgess Court, Kells and Mill View, Kells. Following the connection of these housing schemes an assessment will be carried out to determine if St. Leonard’s Court, Dunnamaggin can also be connected to the public watermain. It is expected that the work will be completed in the second quarter of 2013.
