The 2012 Kilkenny Rose of Tralee will be selected from 15 of the most talented young women in the county at the selection night at the Ormonde Hotel this Saturday.

All the entrants have already begun to make great friends, by having social evenings and helping the Dogs for the Disabled fund raise at Market Cross, Shopping Centre on Saturday. Doors open to the public at 7.30pm sharp. It will be a great night of family entertainment.

MC for the evening will be Waterford local and sports presenter from the Breakfast programme on Newstalk 106, Oisin Langan. Oisin is well seasoned in interviewing girls for the Rose of Tralee and is looking forward to part taking in any quirky party pieces that the Roses may wish to do.

Along with the potential of becoming the 2012 Kilkenny Rose and representing the county and local community of Kilkenny the Rose chosen will receive prizes including Newbridge Silverware jewellery and Carlton Hotel Gift Cards.

Tickets for the 2012 Kilkenny Rose of Tralee are priced at €20 for adults and €10 for children. Tickets are available on the door on the night or from the Roses taking part. Everyone is encouraged to come along and support your Rose. Not forgetting that there will be a prize for the best banner brought on the night to support your rose.
