Since 2006 the CTCR Classic Tractor Charity Run has been a familiar sight across the North Kilkenny terrain and the neighbouring counties of Carlow, Laois and Offaly. This year the well oiled convoy sets off from Ballyragget on July 20 at 10am.

The destination is Tullamore and the route takes in Carlow, Stradbally and Portlaoise. The organisers wish to convey their sincere gratitude to all who continue to support what is a real community event.

To date a sum of €186,464 has been collected and every penny raised has gone directly to Our Lady’s Hospital for Sick Children, Crumlin. The army of local volunteers pride themselves in ensuring there are no expenses involved.

The group will arrive back in Ballyragget on July 21 at 5pm and the evening will be rounded off with a cabaret and auction in Fitzpatricks Bar.

Our Lady’s Hospital, Crumlin treats 40,000 children annually and it’s a testament to the charity of the people of the area to see the event being supported so well every year.
