Green light for school extension

THE GREEN light has been given for a new gym on the grounds of Castlecomer Community School.

Kilkenny County Council has granted planning permission for the development which will consist of the construction of a two-storey structure comprising of four dressing rooms, four smaller changing rooms and toilets at ground floor level. There will also be an office and two changing rooms with associated showers and toilets. The building will be located at the rear and south of the existing school building, adjacent to the playing fields, tennis courts and running track. All works are associated with providing improved sporting facilities at the school and with the associated site works and will include connection to the existing water and sewer mains.
