A KILKENNY woman living in New York has received an award for her outstanding work at the 1st Irish Festival where playwrights from around the globe have their work performed.

A KILKENNY woman living in New York has received an award for her outstanding work at the 1st Irish Festival where playwrights from around the globe have their work performed.

Jo Kinsella, who is originally from Clogga, Mooncoin but now lives in New York with her husband Anthony started her acting career when she acted the main parts of some of the plays staged by the local Moondharrig group in Mooncoin.

The Origin Theatre Company presented The 1st Irish Achievement Award to Jo Kinsella for her remarkable contributions to the 1st Irish Theatre Festival 2012.
