Peter Charles jumped the vital clear round to secure team gold for Great Britain in Showjumping at The London Olympic Games.

Peters love of horses originates from his mother’s side of the family. His mother, Julia Meehan is from Johnstown and her father Daniel bred stallions on the family farm. Peter’s cousin, Liam Norton still farms the home place in Kilkenny. Peter’s sister Patricia Creighton who lives in Co. Kildare has been a riding instructor in Ireland for over thirty years.
