Teddy Duff killed in Graignamanagh work accident

GRAIGNAMANAGH has suffered a major loss with the death of 57 year old Teddy Duff in a work accident at his home in Ballyogan yesterday afternoon. The Health and Safety Authority (HSA) has confirmed it is investigating the accident which occurred around 1pm yesterday while Teddy was working with machinery in his yard. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Friend and local councillor, Tommy Prendergast said Teddy was involved in everything good around Graignamanagh including the Boat Club on the Quay and with the annual regatta. He was also on the committee involved in putting an outdoor pursuit centre nest to Duiske College. Work on the project will start shortly. “Teddy was a great person and great worker and if ever there was something needed to de done on behalf of the community, Teddy was there,” Cllr Prendergast said. He hurled with Graignamanagh and was extremely well liked.

Teddy Duff is survived by his wife Eileen and three children. Funeral arrangements later.
