A CHARITY walk in aid of the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association (IMNDA) and in memory of Paddy Roche will take place on March 3.
Kathy Buckley is organising the 8km walk in memory of her brother Paddy Roche from Wallslough, Kilkenny who passed away last summer. Ms Buckley picked March 3 as the date for the walk as it would have been Paddy’s 44th birthday.
“Paddy, like many others before him, has been taken from his family and friends very cruelly and far too soon by motor neuron disease. By organising this charity walk we hope to help those who are now living and suffering with MND. We hope to raise both awareness and much needed and valuable funds for IMNDA, to help ease pain of those living with MND and their families,” said Ms Buckley.
The walk will leave from the Rugby Club on the Waterford Road in Kilkenny. Walkers will meet at 9.30am and start out on the route at 10am. The walk will go from the Rugby Club to the Harvester Bar and back, a distance of approximately 8km. The walk is open to all participants, both young and old.
