A Scarce history of County Kilkenny by Owen O’Kelly will be among the many items of local historical interest at the Kilkenny Antiques and Fine Arts Fair, which takes place in the Newpark Hotel this Sunday, January 6 from 11am to 6pm.

The book, together with a good collection of other local interest titles, will be on offer from the Boro Rare Books stand which will feature at the fair. Among these will be No 7 issue of the Old Kilkenny Review (1954) and a booklet on Graignamanagh Abbey published in 1924.

A copy of the Rev M Comerfords’ collections relating to the diocese of Kildare and Leighlin – three volumes published in 1886 – should also prove of interest to many. Boro Books will, in addition, have a good selection of counties Carlow, Kildare and Wexford interest titles.

In general, the Boro Books stand will feature a wide range of Irish-interest books – covering history, literature and topography. A general interest section, including books on shooting fishing, art, and signed poetry editions will complete the stand.

Overall, there will be many quality stands featured at the fair, including, art, antiques, books, silver, jewellery, glass, porcelain and much more. All are welcome to stop by.
