TWO men have been arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing of 21-year-old Kieran Monaghan.

The men, who are in their 20s and are from Castlecomer and Carlow, were arrested last Wednesday. They were held overnight at Kilkenny Garda Station and were quizzed for a number of hours. The pair were released without charge on Thursday and a file is being prepared on the matter.

Mr Monaghan died from stab wounds which he sustained following an incident at a house party at Larchfield Court in Loughboy on February 15. Gardai are continuing their investigations and are appealing to people with information to come forward.
