The residents of the Robertshill housing estate have had another small victory in the long-running saga of the development, with traffic-calming works beginning this week.
The Residents Association has long campaigned for road safety measures to be introduced. Many families had expressed concern over their children playing outside.
In March, the mayor at the time Cllr David Fitzgerald said that speed ramps were required as “the safety of children in the estate was a matter of priority.”
The estate was taken in charge by the local authority last year in July.
