A day of light and hope with Cois Nore cancer treatment centre on 12-12-2012

AT 12 noon on Wednesday, December 12 (12-12-2012) a bell will ring on the Parade, Kilkenny city as part of A Day Of Light And Hope to remember and encourage all those affected by cancer.

AT 12 noon on Wednesday, December 12 (12-12-2012) a bell will ring on the Parade, Kilkenny city as part of A Day Of Light And Hope to remember and encourage all those affected by cancer.

Bell ringing is a universal call and symbol accross all traditions all over the world and at 12 noon, those involved in the Cois Nore Cancer Support Centre, which will open soon on Walkin Street, Kilkenny, will ring the bell 12 times - each ring followed by a reflection.

This is a free event and all are welcome and the event starts at 11am with a coffee morning in the Ormonde Hotel.

At 12 noon the bell will be rung on the Parade to remember and encourage everyone affected by cancer.

An Introduction to mindfulness meditation at the Kilkenny School of Yoga, Collier’s Lane, off high Street will be held at 3pm.

At 7.30pm the Kilkenny Gospel Choir will perform at St. Mary’s Cathedral and afterwards at 8.30pm there will be tea and a chat at the Chapter House Tea Rooms next to the cathedral.
