Top ten finish for Colaiste Mhuire metalwork students

Two students from Coláiste Mhuire, Johnstown were last month presented with awards by the Engineering and Technology Teachers Association, at a ceremony held in the Raheen Woods Hotel in Athenry.

Two students from Coláiste Mhuire, Johnstown were last month presented with awards by the Engineering and Technology Teachers Association, at a ceremony held in the Raheen Woods Hotel in Athenry.

Ciaran Costigan and Conor Bergin received the awards for their outstanding results in Junior Certificate Metalwork, having attained two of the top ten places in the country.

“This is a great achievement for Ciaran and Conor,” said Coláiste Mhuire Metalwork teacher Patrick Comerford.

“Especially when we consider that nearly six thousand students did Higher Level Metalwork nationwide. They can be rightly proud of their success.”

This award further enhances the school’s reputation for excellence in the technology area.
