Brian wins All Ireland for Kilkenny at ploughing

KILKENNY’s Brian Ireland won the All Ireland, intermediate reversible ploughing class at the National Ploughing Championships in New Ross writes Sean Keane. PRO of the Kilkenny Ploughing Association, Seanie Ronan who is also a mentor to the Ireland men, said it was a fantastic achievement for the brothers and that it was a proud day for Danesfort and Kilkenny and augured well for the All Ireland hurling replay on Sunday in Croke Park between Galway and Kilkenny. The Irelands are sons of Fine Gael councillor, Billy Ireland of Ballyda, Danesfort and his wife Mary.
