Olivia Burns is the daughter of Angela Burns (nee Grogan) who was born and raised in Kilkenny. Angela moved to Gloucerstershire ten years to teach. “I met my husband Craig there and the rest is history,” she said. Her parents Timmy and Kathleen still live in Ardnore in Kilkenny.

Olivia danced in the Oireachtas Midlands Championships in Northampton at the beginning of December and won the competion and the impressive title of UK under 5 Midlands champion.

“It was her first feis and we of course (like her grandparents) were very proud of her for taking part and over the moon when she came first! She’s now the Uk under 5 Midlands Champion.

“It’s so important to me that my girls have an understanding of the Irish culture and what better way at this age than to be a dancer! She dances with Rose Ellis and the Sean Eireann McMahon School of dancing,” added proud Mum Angela.
