Town of Graignamanagh is in mourning following the death of 23-year-old, Sabrina Whelan, Ballavarra, Graignamanagh.

The supermarket manager was killed on Friday afternoon at the notorious accident black spot, Newbawn on the Wexford to New Ross road (R737).

She played a huge part in the community life of the town and the atmosphere at the annual Town Of Books and Michaelmas Festivals over the weekend was dampened by her tragic passing.

She is survived by her parents Pat and Bridget, sisters Lisa and Megan; brother Dean; niece Keleigh, grandparents, aunts, uncles, other family members, neighbours and many friends.

Sabrina will be buried on Tuesday in The Rower cemetery after noon Mass at The Church of The Assumption, The Rower.

Gardai are investigating the accident on Friday that claimed her life and in which the other driver, a male, received minor injuries.
