It was smiles all round this morning as students across the city and county opened their Junior Cert results.

At the CBS there was a relaxed atmosphere as students mingled in the school year waiting for the arrival of their classmates.

“Our results were excellent, top class. A number of our students got A’s across the board. Jack Butler scored 11 A’s in Honours subjects and Kevin Barrett and Sean Foley scored ten A’s.

“I am very happy with the results across the board. Our students are achieving their potential and I want to pay tribute to a very committed staff and also acknowledge the support of parents who all contribute to the calibre of our students,” said principal Tom Clarke.

Across at the Loretto Secondary School students were also relieved that the wait was finally over. Shannon Lawlor, Shannon Doheny and Sarah Kenrick were all ‘delighted’ with their results.
