Kilkenny Tourism has launched a callout for new members after a great year for visitor numbers.

The “Kilkenny Tourism Social Event” for current members and potential new members will be held by Kilkenny Tourism in Pembroke Hotel – Statham’s Events Bar on Wednesday, November 27 at 7.30pm.

Chair of Kilkenny Tourism, Colin Ahern, appealed to businesses in the tourism and hospitality sectors to attend the open night to see what Kilkenny Tourism can offer.

This year Kilkenny was voted one of the world’s top ten most friendly cities by Conde Nast magazine. Two Kilkenny restaurants were also awarded two Michelin Star restaurants, making us the Michelin capital of Ireland!

In addition, Kilkenny Tourism in conjunction with Destination Kilkenny launched the country’s first “Welcome Ambassador Programme” to assist people to make a visitors experience a great one.

Kilkenny Tourism is working in collaboration with their marketing team Newmarket Consulting and PR consultants MD Media, who will both give a short presentation at the social event. They will discuss the launch of the new TV ad and website as well as the many recently hosted several press trips resulting in great profile for the city and county. Chairman Colin Ahern will also speak about the benefits of Kilkenny Tourism, welcoming new members on board. Join as a new member on the night and your business will be entered into a draw for free membership for 2014.

All members and non-members are welcome. Parking is available at rear of the Pembroke Hotel or in the overflow car park on Jacob Street. Refreshments will be served on the night.
