The 14th Kilkenny Business Awards will take place on Saturday, October 15 in Hotel Kilkennym, definitely a welcome return to the social calendar of Kilkenny.

The event promises to be the largest business event in Kilkenny in 2011 with over 60 nominations already received for the various awards.

“The Awards are free to enter and are an excellent opportunity to benchmark your company against other local business. Networking is also a key element of the Awards night and many companies have expressed their satisfaction with the promotional opportunities of the competition. We all know that times are hard but business is still succeeding and excelling in innovation in their business and the Awards are about recognising and promoting excellence in business,” said Chamber CEO Alison mcGrath.

The closing date for the awards is this Friday and as one final reminder, the nomination form is printed for any one with late entries.

The Awards took a ‘hiatus’ in 2010 and Chamber are holding them this year in light of requests from members and also the wider business community to say well done to companies that deserve to be rewarded for the standard of service they provide their clients. There are a number of categories available to enter and Kilkenny Chamber is encouraging business to nominate themselves or another company that they consider worthy of recognition for their customer service before Friday 16th September.

You can also enter by calling Chamber on 056-7752767 or email info@kilkennychamber.ie or www.kilkennychamber.ie to download the nomination form.

While the focus of the Awards night is in recognising the achievements of local business, this black tie evening is also fun and full of entertainment. It promises to be an excellent evening, very professional and a great opportunity to entertain clients, staff and friends. Tickets are now on sale and selling fast so contact Chamber as soon as you can to reserve your tickets.

There are still sponsorship options available and if you are interested in getting involved, just call Alison McGrath, Chamber CEO on 056-7752767.

“Chamber would like to thank all our sponsors including Danville Business Park, the Overall Sponsor this year, The Kilkenny People and KCLR96FM our media sponsors and our category sponsors. Without their continued support, the event would not be as successful,” said Alison.
