Cois Nore to beneft from Kells Angels charity cycle on Saturday

The first “Kells Angels Charity Cycle” and Shave Or Dye will be held on Saturdayin Kells village. The aim of this event is to raise much needed funds to help establish a badly needed Cancer Support Centre in Kilkenny called “Cois Nore”.It is envisaged that the centre will open its doors in Walkin Street in city later this year from where trained volunteers will provide emotional and practical support for Kilkenny individuals and their families who have been affected by cancer. The local community has come together to assist with running the event. Momentum is mounting for the Family Fun Day with the proceeds going to St. Brigids N.S School Childcare Centre and the local Scout Group.

The cycle on Saturday has various strands and consists of a 110km Challenge with registration between 8.30am - 9.30am at €25. The 30km local Loop cycle has registration between 12.15 and 1.15pm and the registration for the.5km Family Fun Cycle is between 1.30 and 2.30pm . A Shave Or Dye will be held in Delaneys Pub that night at 8.30pm. If cycling is not your thing you can still support the cause by coming along to this beautiful village where there will be a raffle for some wonderful prizes
