A LEADING Kilkenny business can’t get people to take good jobs in its companies. At present, The TaxBack and ConnectIreland group are looking for staff in a number of areas yet the positions remain unfilled. “We are talking about good quality jobs here,” head of HR with the group, Paul Deegan said.

At present they are employment opportunities for 13 people and by the year’s end, they hope to have a total of 40 jobs offered and filled. He has noticed that people who are unemployed have lost their confidence and he had this bit of advice.

“People only get one chance and need to invest time in preparing the application and preparing for interview. We like to see people with energy and passion for what they do, our business moves quickly while we continually launch new companies or services so being able to adapt in a fast changing environment is essential,” he said. “Apply with confidence and interview with confidence and be yourself at the interview,” he added.

The TaxBack Group has 770 employees in 25 countries. The current employment opportunities in Kilkenny are in: Telesales (English, Polish, German speaking); telesales (evening shifts); financial accountant, group accountant; human resources professional, commercial sales manager and communications executive. Last year TaxBack created a total of 45 new jobs within Ireland.
