Verginya Hristova who scored seven A1s in her Leaving Cert
It was smiles all round at St Brigids in Callan with students doing exceptionally well and one student scooping eight A’s.

It was smiles all round at St Brigids in Callan with students doing exceptionally well and one student scooping eight A’s.

Verginya Hristova from Callan scored an impressive 7A1’s and an A2 in higher level subjects easily securing her a place in her chosen course of pharmacy.

Principal Pat Power described it as ‘an awesome result’. “It reflects really well on Verginya’s ability and application to her work and the work of the teachers at St Brigids.

“I am delighted with the excellent results in the school. Comhghairdead to all all our girls and I want to thank all the teachers for their efforts,” he said.

Another exceptional student who scored seven A1’s was Bronagh Curran who studied at Ferrybank Community College.
