Alan launches single on Late Late Show
Kilkenny youngster Alan Hayes appeared on the nation’s top chat show to launch his charity single, ‘Survivor’ last Friday.
The fifth year college at St Kieran’s College appeared on the Late Late Show earlier this year with his mother Angela and spoke openly about his father’s and brother’s deaths in 2002 and 2011. Both men died by suicide.
Alan, who is well known locally for his musical talent wrote a song as a tribute to his mother.
Survivor is available to buy on ITunes and all proceeds go to the Thomas Hayes Trust.
The Thomas Hayes Trust was established to commemorate the life of Thomas Hayes, who died in 2011. The objectives of the Trust are to financially assist groups working with young people, suicide prevention and counselling . All funds raised will be distributed to local/national groups and associations as chosen by the trustees of the fund.
