As part of Kilkenny Free Day people at Rothe House are showcasing an open day.

The free event will showcase the activities which take place including: access to the museum, garden and library, children’s workshop taster, butter making, apple pressing (feel free to bring fallen apples), theatre and information about Kilkenny Archaeological Society. Information will also be provided about the FETAC Level 5 Award in Business Studies – a 46 week full time programme run under the auspices of the Rothe House Heritage Project.

Rothe House also run a programme of Ccildren’s workshops throughout the year. A taster for these workshops is on offer through the Open Day.

Kilkenny Archaeological Society is the owner of Rothe House & Garden, and runs its active lecture programme from here.

This is a fundraising event for Rothe House & Garden’s Renaissance Project – details of which will be available on the day.

The event takes place this Saturday (October 11) from 11.00am to 4pm.
