Women’s Parliament to sit in Kilkenny

The Women’s Parliament will discuss “Celebrating Inspirational Women’ and the speakers include Kilkenny lady councillors, Deputy Ann Phelan, Former Minister for State, Mary White; Group Finance Director, Glanbia, Siobhan Talbot; Director of the Butler Gallery, Anna O’Sullivan and Government of Irelands IRCHSS Scholar, Claire Mc Ging.

Meanwhile tomorrow (Thursday) at O’Loughlin Court local traveller women will celebrate with Mass and relaxation from 10am to 1pm and there will also be a photographic exhibition by Gypsy Ray. Little Black Wren and Friends will play a fundraising gig for the Five to Six Women’s Project at 8pm in The Set and admission is €10.

On Saturday (March 10) there will be a guided walk of the River Nore Loop which starts at County Hall via the Lacken Boardwalk at noon and admission is free. An art exhibition Alpha to Omega by artist Helen Comerford will take place at The Butler Gallery on Saturday from 2.30pm to 4.30pm and admission is also free. Finally a coffee morning will take place in aid of The Kilkenny Rape Crisis Centre at Dwift’s Heath in Jenkinstown on Sunday from 10am to 1pm. Admission is €5.
