Three employees from McDonald’s in Kilkenny were awarded their City and Guilds qualifications this month.
The employees from Kilkenny were among 200 McDonald’s staff members to receive their qualifications at a ceremony that took place in The Law Society in Blackhall Place, Dublin.
Forty-eight McDonald’s restaurants from across Ireland saw employees receive City and Guilds internationally recognised qualifications in multi-skilled hospitality services for workplace training. Forty-eight customer care assistants from 18 restaurants across Ireland were also awarded City and Guilds qualifications in customer service.
McDonald’s currently has over 400 staff members who have had their workplace training accredited by City and Guilds, which is equivalent to a level 4 qualification on the National Framework of Qualifications.
McDonald’s has been working in partnership with City and Guilds since 2010 when the programme was launched.
