Rosbercon Parish Church will be rededicated and reopened by Bishop Seamus Freeman next Tuesday, December 18 with a concelebrated Mass, to which everyone is invited.

The redecoration and refurbishment of the interior of the church is now complete. It has been transformed into a comfortable, sacred environment where families, friends and neighbours may find spiritual solace.

New features in the church are a beautiful Blessed Sacrament Chapel, a mothers and toddlers room, and a greatly extended gallery.

The fundraising programme to date has been very successful. The community have been very generous and further monies have been pledged. Parishioners who have yet to contribute are respectfully asked to consider joining the fundraising effort.

Sincere thanks must go to the principal of Our Lady of Lourdes Ken Moroney, and the school staff, for the use of the main hall for Mass during the renovation period. Also instrumental in the church’s refurbishment were Brian Dunlop Architects, Kevin Moore Building Contractors, Nolan Construction Consultants and Quantity Surveyors, the Parish Finance Committee and Fr Dan Cavanagh.

It is hoped that there will be a great attendance for the rededication of Rosbercon Parish Church next Tuesday at 7.30pm, as it will be a memorable and jubilant evening for all the community. Refreshments will be served in Our Lady of Lourdes School after the ceremony.
