We’ve long been told that breakfast is the most important meal of the day.
For one local community, it proved to be hugely profitable too over the weekend! Tullaroan Hall was thronged on Sunday morning for a special breakfast serving in aid of the Tullaroan GAA Club.
The side’s leading star, and its current representative on the Senior Hurling Team, Tommy Walsh was in attendance with many members of his family who have served the club as players and officials for years. Sausages, rashers, puddings, eggs and beans were served up alongside toast and brown bread, there were yoghurts, cereals, juices and hot drinks.
Most of all there was great company and community spirit. Running from 9.30-12.30, by 11am at least 150 plates had been sent out.
The event was sponsored by the following: Patrick Connolly, Glanbia, Joe Pollard, Eamon Holland, Joe Molloy, Donny Hogan, James Moore, Bobby Sweeney, Tom Cleere, Connolly’s Pub, Delaney’s Shop, Offtech and Pakie Doheny.
It was a very lovely way to spend a Sunday morning. Well done to all involved and to all who attended for their support.
