‘Instant’ fund success

Kilkenny firm Instant Opinion is one of only 15 companies in the country to have been awarded funding recently under Enterprise Ireland’s Competitive Start Fund.

The 750,000 euro Fund, designed to help high potential emerging businesses to develop their products for the global marketplace, is highly competitive with only 30 companies selected nationwide. Instant Opinion, based in 11 Patrick Street Business Centre, is the only company from the South East to have been selected.

The brainchild of local man Aidan Kenny, Instant Opinion has developed the world’s first system for collecting customer feedback in realtime, allowing companies and event organisers to collect feedback from customers or conference delegates via freetext and email - while they are still experiencing their service or event.

A tenant company of 11 Patrick Street, Kilkenny’s, John Ryan, proprietor of 11 Patrick Street and The Pembroke Hotel said “We pride ourselves on supporting and encouraging local businesses. Instant Opinion’s securing of significant funding from the highly competitive Start Fund is testament to the vision shown by Aidan and his team in developing a unique product with potential global appeal.”
