Benefit night for people of Somalia

The plight of the people of Somalia and Africa has once again touched the world. Images of starving children and the migration of people from barren land to neighboring countries has re-evoked memories of ‘Live Aid’ and the worlds response to their plight.

The plight of the people of Somalia and Africa has once again touched the world. Images of starving children and the migration of people from barren land to neighboring countries has re-evoked memories of ‘Live Aid’ and the worlds response to their plight.

Once again famine, war and disaster has hit these innocent poor people. To assist the work of Irish volunteers and missionaries the Kilkenny Gospel Choir are holding a benefit night in Langtons on Friday July 22nd beginning at 9 am. The night consists of music by the ‘Up town band’ and will also have a sit down plate dinner and spot prizes. The cost of the night is only €5, yes that’s right €5. In these difficult times €5 can go a long way in Africa to help a starving child. All are welcome to help in a small way those who are less fortunate than we are.
