The British Ambassador, Julian King will pay a visit to Kilkenny and take in some of the county’s top tourist attractions. Arriving today (Wednesday) Mr King will help sell Kilkenny to Ireland’s largest tourism market, the UK.

At the launch of the Invest Kilkenny initiative last year Mr King agreed to become a tourism ambassador for Kilkenny. As part of this role he will visit the Inistioge Gardens, Kilfane waterfall and highlight the great work done by Camphill communities in Callan.

Mr King, who has noted Kilkenny’s reliance on UK vistors, will be greeted in Kilkenny by the County Manager Joe Crockett and the new Chairman of the County Council Paul Cuddihy.
