Following yesterday’s dramatic draw in the All-Ireland SHC Final at Croke park, the homecoming for our hurling heroes has been put on hold until Monday, October 1.

Kilkenny and Galway must play again to see who will hold the Laim McCarthy Cup as the game finished 0-19 to 2-13. Kilkenny Borough Council, and the GAA had planned the homecoming for Nowlan Park but the first drawn All-Ireland final since 1959 saw a change in events as the homecoming was cancelled.

The traditional after match banquet in City West was a low key affair and the Kilkenny team and management left Dublin last night (Sunday) and did not stay overnight.
