The Kilkenny Christmas Market’s official tree lighting ceremony will take place on December 1 at 4pm with Mayor Seán Ó hArgáin.

The Kilkenny Christmas Market’s official tree lighting ceremony will take place on December 1 at 4pm with Mayor Seán Ó hArgáin.

With the Christmas Market returning to the Parade this December, traders will include Little Hill Designs (wooden kitchen accessories), Mary’s Homemade (chocolate fountain, hot chocolate drinks, crepes), Indulge Bakery (puddings, Christmas cakes, mince pies), Baurnafea Willow Works, Johnny Fox Woodturning, Candy World, Laura McNamara Ceramics, Mira Ecuador (hats, gloves, scarves in sheep and alpaca wool), Slate Creations (slate kitchen accessories and ornaments), Anim Do (children’s door plaques, decorations), Rathlin Knitwear, Nefarious Design (wrought-iron candlesticks, antique jewellery boxes and gifts), Alura Crafts (knitwear, soap, jewellery), Wildwood Toys (traditional wooden toys), Stradbally Jewellery, Macs Cookies and more.

The Kilkenny Christmas Market will be open on December 1-2, 6-9, 13-16 and 20-23. During the month there will also be carol singing with the Kilkenny Gospel Choir, children’s activities and a Mrs Claus storytelling cabin.
