An amazing display of aerobatics and stunt flying promises to be one of the highlights of the Borris National Country Fair which is expected to attract around 10,000 people.

The fair will take place over the August Bank Holiday weekend Fair at Borris House, the ancestral home of the Kavanagh family. The event will be the highlight of the week-long Borris Gathering programme of events which also includes entertainment and live music in Borris Town, a Gathering Barbecue and the launch of a book commemorating the Borris to Passage East Railway Line which traversed the famous Borris Viaduct.

The National Country Fair organisers have been working with the Kavanagh family who own Borris House, and the Borris Tidy Towns Association to ensure this year’s event is bigger and better than last time. Over a kilometre of hard avenues have been installed through the parkland of Borris House where the fair will be staged.

With over 200 stalls and traders booked, a real Cossack horseman, birds of prey, artisan food, crafts and antiques, equestrian events, live music, dog competitions, vintage vehicles and a host of children’s events all included, the National Country Fair has plenty on offer to entertain people of all tastes.
