TERRIFIED bank staff were forced to hand over a quantity of cash to an unmasked armed robber at the Ulster Bank on High Street on Friday afternoon.
At approximately 3.15pm a lone raider entered the busy premises, where there were a number of customers at the time. Gardai were contacted and arrived at the scene within minutes. CCTV from a number of neighbouring businesses is currently being examined as are the garda cameras which operate on High Street.
The suspect is described as being between 6 foot 2 inches and 6 foot 5 inches with dark hair and in his thirties. Gardai are continuing to investigate the incident and anyone with information is asked to contact the gardai on 056- 772 22 22.
