Flood relief at Ballyfoyle Road, Seskin Bridge
Money for flood relief on the Ballyfoyle Road in Kilkenny and at the Seskin Bridge in Lisdowney is included in the latest round of funding for such projects by the Office of Public Works (OPW), according to Deputy John Paul Phelan.
The work on the Ballyfoyle Road, costing €72,000, will include the construction of a new culvert across the road, a new culvert in a private garden in the area and cleaning an open channel and other culverted sections of the stream.

The funding is part of an allocation of €1.145 million for 33 projects across the state. Further money may be made available later in the year depending on overall available of funding for flood relief measures, said Brian Hayes, minister of state with responsibility for the OPW.
