Home are the Heroes

KILKENNY'S senior and minor hurling teams will return to the Marble city this Monday evening - with the minors bringing home the All-Ireland minor trophy for the 20th time.

The teams will arrive at MacDonagh train station at around 6pm, and an open top bus will parade both teams to the Market Yard where Mayor Martin Brett and members of the Borough Council will welcome home the hurlers.

The evening's entertainment begins at 5.15pm with UP4IT, Na Fianna and The Kilkenny's.

The event will have a strong family feel to it, with the Parade designated as a family-friendly area.

Parking restrictions will be in place in the Market Yard from 4pm.
