Numbers limited at Dysart

CAPACITY at this weekend's Dysart music festival in Thomastown will be limited to 5000 after organisers came to an agreement with local authorities.

It is believed the local council, fire services and gardai were concerned about planning and safety at the venue and sought a commitment to limit the numbers of festival-goers attending.

But ticket sales have not yet reached the cap and there are still tickets available for both days of the festival.

Shuttle buses, operated by JJ Kavanaghs, will run between Kilkenny city and Thomastown all weekend for 10 euro return. Shuttle tickets are available from the Box Office in the Market Cross, Kilkenny or by calling 01-686 0240.
