Three men charged over drugs find
THREE men appeared at Kilkenny District Court yesterday (Sunday) charged in connection with a drugs find in Freshford last week.
Gardaí at Waterford, assisted by the Garda National Drugs Unit searched a house in Freshford, Co. Kilkenny last Wednesday. A cannabis cultivation facility together with sophisticated watering, heating and lighting systems were uncovered.
A number of cannabis plants at various stages of maturity were discovered with an estimated street value of €80,000.
Three men were arrested aged 46, 49, and 53 years under Section 2- Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996. They were detained at Waterford and Tramore Garda Stations.
The three men appeared at a special sitting of Kilkenny District Court on Sunday afternoon charged in connection with this investigation.
