Councillor Michael O’Brien has expressed concerns over Garda vetting delays:

“The vetting backlog is over three months,” he said.

“There is a problem here. It’s a substantial inconvenience for people trying to get jobs.” Chief Supt Mick McGarry said the Gardai involved are flat out but he would check up on it.
