Poor weather but a bright time for Crumlin

Seventeen teams took part in Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin club challenge qualifier at the weekend at Mountain View golf club. Condititions were very difficult on Sunday due to the heavy rain on Saturday night.

The winners, who played on Monday, were J. Earle (19), F. Culleton (20), N. Mullally (15) on 89 points. Second were J. Byrne (13), F. Costello (14) and Ciara Fennelly (18) on 83 points.

The winners will represent the club in the Leinster final at Grange golf club, Dublin on Thursday, August 30. The club thanked all who took part.

All funds raised will go to Our Lady’s Hospital, Crumlin.

CHARITY CLASSIC: A charity classic in aid of L’Arche Community, Kilmoganny will be played at Mountain View on Friday. The competition will be a four person team event. The entry fee is 100 euro per team.

There are some tee times available. For timesheet contact 056-7768122. Prizegiving is on Saturday in the clubhouse.

CLUB DOUBLES: A reminded that the club doubles qualifier (fourball better ball) will be played on Sunday. The top 16 teams will qualify for the 2012 club doubles matchplay.
