Over 100 students from the Budo Martial Arts Centre, Kilkenny graded successfully recently.
The grading event was in the Watershed Sports Complex.
The local karate club now trains hundreds of children and adults right across Kilkenny county and beyond.
After completing a series of training seminars all students presented themselves before Chief Instructor and Examiner Sensei Kevin Shortall for their tests.
Students attempted beginner grades right up to brown belt, which is the last belt before the much coveted black belt. All students performed excellently.
The Budo Martial Arts Centre, Kilkenny, which teaches authentic Japanese karate, has been appointed as the headquarters for the Japan Shotokan Karate Association Ireland or JSKA Ireland.
