Senior Cup success on Sunday for Evergreen A

Eddie McEvoy’s side travelled to Wicklow for a high noon meeting with Rathnew in the Leinster Senior Cup. The trip proved to be a worthwhile one, as the Kilkenny representatives moved into the second round thanks to a 3-2 win over the hosts.

Chris Whearty was the main man with two goals for Evergreen, including one from a penalty. Cian Morton also got on the scoresheet as they moved into the next stage of the competition - a tasty home clash with FAI Junior Cup champions Sheriff YC in September.
